Water Quality
The water provided on our network is treated so that it is fit for human use and food preparation. It meets the European Communities (Drinking Water) (No 2) Regulations 2007. Cavan County Council has statutory functions with regards to the monitoring of drinking water supplied to CMM GWS from County Cavan/ Irish Water. The staff from the Water Laboratory regularly samples all water supplies in County Cavan and is sampled on a regular basis which is determined by drinking water quality regulations.
We then provide the reports from our tests to the Environmental Protection Agency who assess and publish their own reports on the drinking water quality in Ireland. If you would like to be included for sampling, please contact CMM GWS.
Further information on drinking water parameters are contained in the "Whats in your Water" booklet, which can be obtained by contacting CMM GWS
