The scheme has two storage reservoirs located at Carn, Ballyjamesduff and Croaghan, Virginia. The two reservoirs have a combined storage volume of 2650 m3 or 584,760 gallons when full. The water is pumped from Carn Reservoir at night to Croaghan Reservoir, which serves the Knocktemple, Maghera, Island, Munterconnacht and Ballyduorrow areas.
Raw water is extracted from Nadreegeel Loughs by Cavan County Council (Irish Water)

A number of different types of water meters have been used throughout the scheme. The meters only vary in appearance, as they all function the same.

The Scada monitoring system monitors live data sent from remote locations around the scheme. The flow of water at each location is shown.
CMM GWS are committed to continuing water conservation by continuously monitoring water usage. Follow the guides provided and become familiar with how to read your water meter and be aware of your annual water usage.
