Scheme Map & Layout
The scheme has two storage reservoirs located at Carn, Ballyjamesduff and Croaghan, Virginia. The two reservoirs have a combined storage volume of 2650 m3 or 584,760 gallons when full. The water is pumped from Carn Reservoir at night to Croaghan Reservoir, which serves the Knocktemple, Maghera, Island, Munterconnacht and Ballyduorrow areas.

Raw water is extracted from Nadreegeel Loughs by Cavan County Council (Irish Water)
